We are an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited gage calibration laboratory.

Gage Services, Inc. can calibrate all your precision gage blocks and other measuring instruments

  • A complete calibration of each block is reported in millionths of an inch (.000001").
  • Minute nicks and burrs are removed where possible.
  • After calibration all blocks are immediately coated with a light film of rust preventative.
  • Customers are informed if blocks are out of tolerance and given the option to purchase replacement blocks -- rather than returning the set with out-of-specs blocks.

Once your gage blocks are received by our technicians, they are cleaned, demagnetized and then inspected to determine their condition. Also, the case is cleaned and minor repairs are made before being returned to you.

When needed, your blocks can be reconditioned to remove minor nicks and burrs. By enhancing the surface finish and flatness, wringability and accuracy will also improve.

Our metrology lab uses the most sophisticated equipment in operation today, including several electronic and mechanical comparators that feature both analog and digital readout. These comparators are interfaced with our state-of-the-art computer system which reports more detailed information than before.

Edmunds Twin-Head Gage Block Comparators are designed and manufactured to handle the full range of gage block sizes and calibrate at a resolution of .0000001 inch. Resolutions of .0000002 inch, .0000005 inch or .000001 inch are also selectable. Our 20 inch Ultra-Precision Twin-Head Gage Block Comparator for gage blocks from 0 to 20 inches ( 0 to 508 mm) This unit features two heads with individual power supplies, amplifier circuits and controls. A panel control can switch the comparator to single head operation when desired.
