Gage Block Calibrations

Gage Services, Inc. can calibrate all your precision tools. In addition,

A complete calibration of each block is reported in millionths of an inch (.000001").
Minute nicks and burrs are removed where possible.
After calibration all blocks are immediately coated with a light film of rust preventative.
Customers are informed if blocks are out of tolerance and given the option to purchase replacement blocks -- rather than returning the set with out-of-specs blocks.

Calibration Process
Cleaning	Reconditioning	Calibration

Once your gage blocks are received by our technicians, they are cleaned, demagnetized and then inspected to determine their condition. Also, the case is cleaned and minor repairs are made before being returned to you.	When needed, your blocks can be reconditioned to remove minor nicks and burrs. By enhancing the surface finish and flatness, wringability and accuracy will also improve.	Our metrology lab uses the most sophisticated equipment in operation today, including several electronic and mechanical comparators that feature both analog and digital readout. These comparators are interfaced with our state-of-the-art computer system which reports more detailed information than before.
